Today in my school's chapel, five speakers spoke on behalf of the questions asked by students in the high school. It was very good and very helpful. Unfortunately, some students feel they are getting the full extent of religion and now Christianity is lacking. They want more lights, more "oomph", more personality, more activity, but actually, that would go against what the scripture passage Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." God wants us to focus on what He can do for us. He wants us to listen to those he has put in authority over us. He wants us to listen to instruction given by those who know His ways. If we knew everything we would be perfect (and we ain't).
Sure, Martin Luther helped evolve the church music to make it more lively and attractive, and sure many people have translated it into hundreds of different languages, but how much more are we going to evolve the church? Yes, children were introduced to Sunday School because a man named Samuel Slater realized the dangers of not educating the younger generations of their Savior. Without education, you become a slave to the unknown.
The slavery that is taking over the earth now is Satan, the Satan. He is making people think there are other ways to live a life pleasing to God and way more things to make in chapels, church services, and church conferences more motivational YOU HAVE TO WANT TO CHANGE. You have to want to know; people can only hit so many points. Only God can do the rest.
I have 2 types of glasses: my physical near-sighted glasses [hey now] and my spiritual lenses being perfected daily by God. In Matthew 22:37 Jesus said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” Verse 38 says this is the greatest commandment of all. Verse 39 says next to love your neighbor as yourself. So if we love Jesus, we’ll follow these commandments. It’s not hard to follow God.

The greatest obstacle and arch-enemy you'll ever face is yourself. You've got to get over self, yes yourself.
Don't think I'm just talking to you only, I need to hear this myself, but there's no way around the sin, hon. So the next time you sit in church, ask yourself the question: what am I doing to help myself live right. Are you at church to receive something from the service or are you there to meet someone or being forced to be at church period? Then, read the Bible. I promise you my friend it will guide you.

Look here: Psalm 119:105, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." Lamp means light and Lord knows we need a whole lot of light in this nasty society. "Lamp" can also be seen in this verse as a guide, something that proceeds you. You've got to start now! Time is running out. Don't think you've got time. People are dying left and right; but for the Christian who has admitted they are a sinner and that they've done wrong and then ask God into their life and then turn from their wicked ways God promises, "...then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (II Chronicles 7:14).
God promises to heal, but the ultimate healing comes when Jesus returns. For now, God promises healing and protection for his believers (and I hate to use this word because even if you believe in God it doesn't make you a Christian and it most definitely doesn't make you saved). Just believe and then follow. Don't try to figure it out, that's a problem people have. People put God on a bidding market thinking, "...maybe I need him...maybe I can use a substitute...maybe we can work out a deal..." No! Listen to what GOD has to say; have faith; trust his Bible. Do it. Prioritize. Try it! I promise it won't be a waste of time.
